Punjab: IG reviewed the security arrangements

Punjab: Ahead of Republic Day, Inspector General of Police (Intelligence) Babu Lal Meena on Tuesday reviewed the security arrangements in the district. He directed police officials to remain alert and ensure law and order in the district. Meena held a meeting with officials and directed them to intensify checking and night operations. He also visited the police line, bus stand and Sadar police station. He asked the security personnel to keep a strict watch on anti-social elements. Meena said 1,200 police personnel have been deployed across the district, besides 11 inter-district checkpoints have also been set up to keep an eye on miscreants.
