Kawasi Lakhma gets 7-day ED remand

Raipur. The court allowed ED to take former minister Kawasi Lakhma on remand, now for the next 7 days, ED team will question Kawasi Lakhma in the liquor scam. Let us tell you that Lakhma’s son has not been arrested today.

While appearing in the court, Kawasi Lakhma said that not a single rupee was seized from me, nor any document has been found. Shah, Modi and the entire BJP government are harassing me by making a fake case. I will continue to raise the voice of Bastar. ED officials had called Kawasi along with CA for questioning today. But he reached the ED office alone. Lakhma told that his CA is out, that is why he has not come. Lakhma had reached with his son, however his son Harish Lakhma has not been arrested.

Liquor scam?

ED is investigating the Chhattisgarh liquor scam case. ED has filed an FIR in ACB. In the registered FIR, a scam of more than two thousand crore rupees has been mentioned. ED found in its investigation that the scam was carried out during the tenure of the then Bhupesh government through an illegal syndicate of IAS officer Anil Tuteja, MD of Excise Department AP Tripathi and businessman Anwar Dhebar. ACB is investigating the FIR lodged by ED. According to the information received from ACB, from the year 2019 to 2022, illegal liquor was sold from government liquor shops by affixing duplicate holograms. Due to which the government has suffered a loss of revenue worth crores.
