A woman was crushed by a truck at Sirsa Gate and died
Durg. A woman died in a tragic road accident on Wednesday near Sirsa Gate Signal located in Bhilai-3 police station area of the district. The deceased woman has been identified as Lalita Sonwani. The incident happened when Lalita was crossing the road and a speeding truck crushed her. The woman died on the spot due to her head coming under the wheel of the truck.
According to the information received from the police, the truck driver hit the woman while driving carelessly. The collision was so severe that the woman died on the spot. After the accident, the truck driver immediately fled from the spot. As soon as the information about the incident was received, Bhilai-3 police station reached the spot. The police took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem. The truck has been seized from the spot.
The police have started investigation to identify the truck driver and have registered a case of negligence and unintentional murder against him.
