Mahua liquor was being served in the village, youth arrested

Raigarh. In the Punjipathra police station area, the police tightened the noose on the illegal liquor business and arrested a person by conducting a liquor raid in village Gudgud. Accused Vijay Kumar Dhanwar was caught with 10 liters of Mahua liquor from his house.

Police station in-charge inspector Rakesh Mishra had received information from an informer that Vijay Kumar Dhanwar is selling liquor illegally in village Gudgud. On this information, the police team was immediately dispatched for action. The police team raided village Gudgud and caught the accused at his house. During interrogation, he confessed to keeping the liquor for sale. A total of 10 liters of Mahua liquor was recovered from two plastic jerry cans hidden in the courtyard of the house.

Considering the act of accused Vijay Kumar Dhanwar (29 years) as a crime under section 34 (2), 59 (a) of the Excise Act, a case has been registered at Punjipathra police station.
