Action taken against drivers without helmets, now arrests can also happen!
Raigarh. Under the National Road Safety Month 2025, effective steps are being taken continuously by the Raigarh Police with the aim of increasing awareness about road safety and the necessity of helmets. Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel, the traffic police, while taking challan action under the Motor Vehicle Act near village Jorapali on the Raigarh-Kharsia main road, provided free helmets to the drivers who were driving without helmets.
In this campaign, Additional SP Akash Markam himself attended and distributed helmets and strictly instructed the drivers to follow the safety rules on the road. He told the drivers that wearing helmets not only protects life and property in accidents, but it is also legally mandatory.
In this initiative of the traffic police, along with helmet distribution, drivers are being made aware of road safety and traffic rules. Under this campaign, action is going on at various places every day under the Motor Vehicle Act, in which fines are being collected from drivers without helmets and by providing them helmets immediately, the message of driving safely on the road is being given.
This initiative of Raigarh Police is a positive step towards spreading awareness among the general public about road safety and making the roads safer.
