Maharashtra: A panicked brother was driving his car on Mahatma Phule Road in the western area of Dombivali at around 8 pm on Sunday night. This brother, with a technical modification (upper tipper), put the bright light of the car in the eyes of the journalists coming on a two-wheeler from the front. Due to this, the driver of the two-wheeler could not see the journalist for a few moments. He stopped on the spot. At this time, the brother in the car turned the two-wheeler and stopped the car ahead and then abused and assaulted the journalist. Based on the complaint of the journalist, Vishnunagar police have registered a case against the concerned. This incident took place near Swami Vivekananda School on Phule Road.

Six other companions of this brother got down from the vehicle and beat up the journalists riding on a two-wheeler and four journalists who came to rescue them. They broke the glasses of one journalist. They abused the journalists and said, “These people are very smart, finish them off.” As soon as Deputy Commissioner of Police Atul Zende came to know about this information, he immediately ordered Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Pawar of Vishnunagar Police Station to arrest the brother who beat up the journalists and threatened to kill them. Vishnunagar Police took immediate action and arrested the concerned brother. Deputy Commissioner Zende himself showed the power of his uniform and beat the brother with a stick on the road. He was made to vomit on the road. Passersby were watching all this. Citizens of Phule Road and Umeshnagar area were expressing satisfaction that justice has been done to this brother.
