Farmers are excited due to purchase of paddy on support price

Mahasamund. As per the intention of the state government, the district administration of Mahasamund has ensured better arrangements under the paddy procurement scheme at the support price. Farmers are happy with the efforts for smooth paddy procurement in all the paddy procurement centers of the district. Arrangements like sitting room, drinking water, toilet, CCTV camera, biometric machine, and electronic scales have been made for the convenience of the farmers at the paddy procurement center located in the remote village of Jangalbeda in the district. Due to these facilities, farmers are selling paddy on time without any difficulty.

Subaran Singh Bariha, a farmer of village Rajadih, who does agriculture work in 55 acres of land, sold 240 quintals of paddy at the Jangalbeda paddy procurement center on December 23. Earlier he had sold 40 quintals of paddy. He told that the amount was deposited in his account within 72 hours of the sale, due to which he and his family are very happy.

Subaran Singh said, “It was like a dream for me to get the paddy sale amount deposited in the account in such a short time. This has honoured our hard work.” He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai for the decision to purchase paddy at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal. He said, “The decision taken by the Chief Minister, understanding the needs of the farmers, cannot be praised enough. This is very encouraging for us farmers.
