Villager tied with rope and killed at 2 am, 3 miscreants arrested
Raigarh. In the case of the death of 50-year-old Panchram Sarathi in Doomarpali village of Chakradharnagar police station area, the police took immediate action and arrested the main accused Virendra Singh Sidar and his neighbours Ajay Pradhan and Ashok Pradhan. This murder case is being thoroughly investigated under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel.
According to the information, on the morning of 22 December, a villager was reported to be beaten up by some people in Doomarpali village under Chakradharnagar police station area. On receiving the information, Chakradharnagar police immediately reached the spot. Panchram Sarathi alias Butu (50 years), resident of village Banora, died due to the assault. Chakradharnagar police took immediate action and detained 03 suspects. During interrogation, the main accused Virendra Sardar and Virendra Singh Sardar (50 years), Ajay Pradhan (42 years) and Ashok Pradhan (44 years) confessed their crime. The accused told that Panchram entered Virendra’s house at around 2:00 in the night, Virendra Singh who was sleeping there woke up and caught him, after which he along with his neighbours tied him with a plastic rope and beat him with sticks and punches, due to which he died. Crime number 574/2024 section 103 (1), 3 (5) BNS has been registered in Chakradharnagar police station on the report of the deceased’s son Arjun Sarathi (17 years), all three accused have been arrested and sent on judicial remand on the charge of murder. The incident is being investigated thoroughly, further action will be taken as per the evidence in the police investigation.
Police station in-charge Prashant Rao, Assistant Sub Inspector Nandkumar Sarathi, Head Constable Shyam Dev Sahu, Sanjay Tiwari, and Constable Abhay Yadav, Ranjit Bhagat played an important role in the prompt action in the case.
