Vishnudev Sai’s special health assistance scheme became a ray of hope
Raipur. About 14 months ago, when I came to know that I had an incurable disease, cancer, it felt as if the ground had slipped from under my feet. Then the struggle of life with cancer began. I had the courage to fight this big disease, but lack of money was becoming a hindrance in the way of my treatment. In such a difficult situation, the benefit received from the Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme has come as a ray of hope in the darkness for me and my family. This enabled me to get better treatment and today I am living a completely healthy life. ” This is what 46-year-old Joyna Masih, who defeated a serious disease like breast cancer, said.
Joyna Masih, a resident of Podibahar in Korba city, one day suddenly felt that there was a lump on the right side of her chest. When she got the lump examined, it was found that she had breast cancer. Joyna was short of money and cancer treatment was expensive. Her relative told that financial help can be provided for the treatment of cancer disease under the Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme. Hearing this, a ray of hope shone in her eyes. Her family applied to the Health Department’s Pahuna office in Raipur for financial help for treatment under the Chief Minister’s Special Assistance Scheme. According to the medical examination and the report prepared by the doctors, the Health Department deposited Rs 90,000 in her Ayushman card and Rs 45,000 were already deposited in the Ayushman card. Joyna told that she underwent chemotherapy 8 times for the treatment of cancer, and she also underwent an operation. Her husband, mother and sister left no stone unturned in her treatment. The family also used their savings and ancestral property for treatment, but there was a shortage of money for better treatment. In such circumstances, with the help of Rs 1 lakh 35 thousand received from the Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme, along with better treatment, radiation was done for 21 days. After proper treatment, she is now healthy and is doing all her daily work normally.
Joyna says that with the help and treatment from the Chief Minister’s Special Health Assistance Scheme, she has won the battle against a serious disease like cancer, now she is completely healthy. Thanking Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai for running this welfare scheme, he said that economically weaker people are getting the benefit of better treatment through this scheme.
