Sanjay Gaikwad, who became MLA for the second consecutive time, is troubled by this illusory victory
Maharashtra: Sanjay Gaikwad spoke on the results of the assembly elections: Shiv Sena (Shinde) party leader Sanjay Gaikwad won the Buldhana assembly elections by a narrow margin. This year a tough fight was seen on this seat. Meanwhile, Sanjay Gaikwad, who became MLA for the second time in a row, is upset with this elusive victory. Reacting to the election results, he has made serious allegations and said that the leaders of my own party did not do my work. Gaikwad has also claimed that the opposition party has spent 60 to 70 crores in the elections.
Speaking on the issue of being elected by a narrow margin in the elections, Sanjay Gaikwad said, “People gave more priority to money, liquor and meat.” Nowhere in Maharashtra has so much development work been done as has been done in Buldhana. Many people said that the MLA has not seen such work in seventy years. But suddenly a big game of money started. The opposition party threw sixty to seventy crores of rupees, which made the election difficult for me. A few days ago, a video of Sanjay Gaikwad accusing Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav and BJP MLA Sanjay Kute had surfaced.
When asked about these allegations, Sanjay Gaikwad said that these are not allegations but facts. Talking further about the events during the election, he said, “In Buldhana, Ravikant Tupkar’s AB form was prepared by the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) party. Suddenly our MP Milind Narvekar gets a call, Milind Narvekar talks to Uddhav Thackeray and that AB form is stopped. Later Sanjay Kute calls Anil Parab and both ask him to change the candidate. If Jayshree Shelke is made the candidate, we will help. After that, the candidate was given on the request of both”, Sanjay Gaikwad said. He was speaking to news channel TV9.
Jayshree Shelke of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) party was made the candidate against Sanjay Gaikwad in Buldhana assembly constituency. Jayshree Shelke lost the election by a margin of only 841 votes. Meanwhile, after the results of the assembly elections were declared, a video of Sanjay Gaikwad accusing his colleagues had surfaced. In which he was talking about some leaders working against him in the party as well as the grand alliance. No leader did my work in the assembly elections. Even the Union Minister (Prataprao Jadhav) and BJP MLA Sanjay Kute did not do my work. He had alleged that far from working (campaigning), work was done to get ‘him’ the ticket of the opposition party (Thackeray faction).
