Mumbai: The BJP-led Mahayuti won a landslide victory in the assembly elections in Maharashtra. Who will be the new Chief Minister of the state? Deliberations are still going on on this. Meanwhile, Eknath Shinde has resigned from the post of Chief Minister. He submitted his resignation to the Governor in the presence of Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar.

Let us tell you that MVA includes Congress, Sharad Pawar’s NCP, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction). This camp has suffered a major setback in the assembly elections. The alliance could win only 46 seats in the 288-member assembly. In contrast, the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance has managed to win 230 seats. The Mahayuti includes BJP, Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar’s NCP.
