Creta EV to compete with Tata and MG, will be launched in January

Business Business: Many companies will launch their new cars at India Mobility Expo 2025. Hyundai Creta EV is also included in this list. Testing has been going on in the Indian market for a long time. The production model is already ready for launch. This will be the company’s third electric vehicle in the Indian market after Kona Electric and Ioniq 5. It is believed that it can replace Kona Electric. The company has recently announced that it will expand its lineup of electric vehicles. Creta EV comes first. It will compete with Tata and MG models.

The upcoming Hyundai Creta EV will be based on the mid-size SUV model with an internal combustion engine. It will get a connected tail lamp, a similar rear bumper and a shark fin antenna at the rear. Apart from removing the exhaust pipe, the Creta EV also gets new aerodynamic alloy wheels with Creta EV badge and closed grille at the rear. At the same time, the design of the headlights and daytime running lights is being refined. It will be based on an updated version of the K2 architecture, which is also the platform of the current Hyundai Creta.

Now if we talk about the interior of the Creta EV, then it will get an advanced interior with premium content and many technology features. The interior can be covered with high-quality artificial leather. It will feature a panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable and ventilated front seats and a two-level recline position for the second row. Additionally, a new gear selector, new center console layout, new 3-spoke steering wheel and ambient lighting are expected to be available.

Talking about other features of the Creta EV, it will have a dual-screen infotainment system and instrument cluster. It will have wireless connectivity with Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Most of the technology and safety features are likely to be taken from the Creta EV. For example, it will also include Level 2 ADAS for safety and a 360-degree surround camera for blind spot detection. The first row is expected to have a mobile phone charger and a cooled glove box, while the second row will get a USB charging port.
