Kerala: Attempt to disrupt elections, V.D. Satheeshan filed a complaint
Kerala: Ahead of the by-election, opposition leader V.D. Satheeshan has filed a complaint with the Central Election Commission. The opposition leader’s complaint states that the CPM is misusing the police for political purposes by targeting the Election Commission and election officials. The complaint states that the police officials did not follow the rules in the midnight raid and searched the rooms of former MLA and Congress political committee member Shanimol Usman and Mahila Congress state president Bindu Krishna.
The complaint also states that the police did not follow the procedure laid down in the BNSS. The absence of officials including ADM RDO with the police team that came for inspection is illegal. The inspection started at 12 noon, but the ADM and RDO reached the spot at 2:30 pm. RDM Fafi Parampil had also made it clear to the MP that he was not aware of the raid.
