4 ancient idols looted from temple in Balipatna of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, as many as 4 idols were looted from a temple in Balipatna area on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar yesterday night. It has been observed that miscreants have targeted to loot ancient idols. The four stolen idols are made of eight metals (Astadhatu).

As per reports, miscreants looted valuables from the Madan Mohan temple situated in the Sishu Matha premises in Balipatna area on the outskirts of the capital city of Odisha after breaking the locks late in the night.

The miscreants looted four ancient idols made off eight metals and also ancient ornaments. The looted ancient idols are that of Lord Madan Mohan, Goddess Laxmi, Radha Krishna and Goddess Bhudevi.

After knowing about the loot in the morning, a case has been registered at Balipatna Police Station in this regard. Police swung into action and checked CCTV footages. Further investigation of the case is underway.

It has been observed that now the miscreants are targeting ancient temples.
