Collector held a review meeting under the Nasha Mukti Bharat Abhiyan

Narayanpur. Under the Nasha Mukti Bharat Abhiyan, Collector Mr. Bipin Manjhi reviewed the works done by the departments in the last month by holding a meeting of the district level committee on October 28. He directed to speed up the campaign with inter-departmental coordination.

Instructions were given to select hotspots and monitor them for the prevention of drug abuse. The District Education Officer was asked to insist on running awareness campaigns regarding de-addiction in schools and colleges so that more and more children can be made aware of the harm caused by drug abuse and it can be prevented.

The Health Department was directed to spread awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse through Mitanin and to make good arrangements for medical treatment along with counseling of drug addicts. The Superintendent of Police was directed to take punitive action against the people involved in the illegal sale of liquor, khutka, tobacco and other intoxicants in the city. The Social Welfare Department was directed to organize workshops of the members of the Bharat Mata Vahini group and to create a drug-free environment in the haat bazaars.
