Punjab: Sahni appointed member of two House committees

Punjab: Rajya Sabha member Dr Vikramjit Singh Sahni has been appointed as a member of the Parliamentary Consultative Committee on Finance and a Permanent Special Invitee Member of the Parliamentary Consultative Committee on Foreign Affairs.

He played a key role in bringing back Indian citizens stranded abroad, successfully facilitating the return of over 150 individuals after taking over as MP. Sahni also played a key role in the 2020 Afghan war, when he evacuated 500 Afghan Hindus and Sikhs.

Sahni said he felt honoured to be appointed to important committees and looked forward to collaborating with his fellow members to address the financial challenges facing the country.
