Hyderabad takes another step to continue as badminton hub

Serilingampally: Another step has been taken to continue as Hyderabad..badminton hub. Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy started in Gachibowli in collaboration with Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited. It is designed with international standards. It will continue to be a high performance center with six air-conditioned courts. In addition to this, facilities like sports science center with nutritionists, physiotherapists and conditioning experts have been set up for the fitness of the players. Fellowship programs are being implemented for economically disadvantaged players and coaches. A certification program is being conducted for ex-players to expand badminton not only to Hyderabad but to other cities in the country. National badminton coach Gopichand along with Saina Nehwal and Srikanth participated in the opening program of the academy. Hyderabad has taken another step to continue as a badminton hub.
