Telangana government provides loans to women SHGs under rehabilitation programme
HYDERABAD: The state government will deliver justice to those affected by the Musi rejuvenation project by rehabilitating them and uplifting them economically by providing financial assistance, Women & Child Welfare Minister Dansari Anasuya alias Seethakka said on Friday.
The minister distributed loan cheques to women self-help groups (SHGs) as part of the Musi River Rehabilitation Programme at an event organised at Praja Bhavan. She handed over cheques to 17 SHGs, which will benefit around 172 women. The total loan amount distributed was around `3.44 crore.
The state government has taken steps to rehabilitate the families displaced by the Musi project by providing 2BHK houses and cash in the form of loans to improve their livelihood.
The minister acknowledged the challenges faced by those who had to relocate to other places but emphasised the need to understand the real problems.
