Congress MLA abused Lord Shiva, FIR registered, statement may become a ‘suicidal goal’ for Congress!

Bhopal: A case of controversial statement by a Congress leader has come to light in Madhya Pradesh. Where before the by-election, Sheopur MLA Babu Singh Jandel has increased the troubles of the party by commenting on Lord Shankar. Leaders are apprehensive that this statement may become a ‘self goal’ for the party.

By-elections are to be held in two assembly seats of the state, Budhni and Vijaypur. The date of voting has also been decided and political parties are busy in selecting candidates. Preparations for the by-election are in full swing. Meanwhile, a controversial statement has come from Sheopur Congress MLA Babu Jandel about Lord Shankar. This statement has brought heat in the politics of the state. A case has also been registered against the Congress MLA.

After the statement of the Congress MLA, BJP is on the offensive. The party is once again openly terming Congress as anti-Sanatan. On the other hand, Congress is in a defensive mode and is saying that this statement is several years old.

Political analysts believe that the Vijaypur assembly by-election is going to be interesting but the MLA’s statement has created trouble for the Congress. Congress leaders always make such statements especially during elections which ensures that the party will suffer losses. Now the fear remains that this statement of Babu Singh Jandel may prove to be a suicidal goal for the party.

This is what the statements of Congress leaders have done during the previous elections. The party has not taken the statement of the Congress MLA very seriously and the possibility of it affecting the voters cannot be denied. If the Congress had shown some strictness as soon as the statement came out, then a positive message could have gone among the public.

There are two assembly constituencies in the state, Budhni and Vijaypur, where the MLAs have resigned from their membership. The Election Commission has announced the election schedule. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, who was an MLA from Budhni, has been elected MP from Vidisha parliamentary constituency, while Congress MLA from Vijaypur assembly, Ramniwas Rawat has joined the BJP. Rawat is currently the Forest Minister in the Mohan Yadav government.
