Khairagarh Police has busted a big gang involved in interstate cattle smuggling. This gang used to catch stray cattle roaming in the forest area of Khairagarh district and take them on foot through the forest route to Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh and sell them. The SP said that the police had received information that some people were going towards Madhya Pradesh with hundreds of cows through the forest route in the forests of village Mahuvadhar. On this, the police surrounded them and arrested three accused with a total of 130 cows.
The SP said, the police is investigating the matter. The police came to know about Sabar Ali Khan, a resident of Balaghat district, the kingpin of interstate cow smuggling. Sabar Ali was absconding since the case, who has been arrested by the police today. Let us tell you that in this case, till now the police has arrested seven other accused including the kingpin of the interstate gang. The police is preparing to confiscate the property of the accused by registering a case under various sections.
