Give priority to cleanliness: Commissioner Abinash Mishra
Raipur. Today, Commissioner Mishra of Municipal Corporation Raipur held a weekly review meeting in the hall located on the third floor of Municipal Corporation Headquarters Building Mahatma Gandhi Sadan and reviewed various works and gave necessary instructions to the officers. The Commissioner, in the presence of Additional Commissioners Shri Rajendra Prasad Gupta, US Agarwal, Vinod Pandey, COO of Raipur Smart City Limited Ujjwal Porwal, Deputy Commissioner Krishna Khatik, Zone Commissioners, Chief Engineer UK Dhalendra, Superintendent Engineer Rathore, Smart City General Manager Technical Pankaj Kumar Panchayati, Health Officer Dr. Tripti Panigrahi, City Investor Abhas Mishra, Executive Engineers, Zone Health Officers, gave instructions to give priority to cleaning work and to establish cleanliness system in accordance with the capital city in the TL meeting.
The Commissioner directed the officers to pay special attention to the cleanliness system on the sides of the main roads. Cleaning should be done by removing garbage and when grass grows, cleanliness should be maintained on the sides of the main roads by cutting the grass. The Commissioner has directed all the Zone Commissioners to inspect the wards and roads of their zones for 1-2 hours every day in the morning and ensure systematic and quality cleaning on priority. The Commissioner has directed the Health Officer, Zone Health Officers to take action on spreading dirt and garbage in the commercial areas of the city and fine those who do so.
The Commissioner has directed the officers to take strict action by all the zones to fine those who spread dirt and garbage in private vacant plots in the Municipal Corporation area. The Commissioner has directed the Municipal Investment Engineers to seize the C&D waste lying on the road and take action to collect road obstruction fee from the concerned people on a campaign basis. The Commissioner has directed the officers to develop and organize the gardens and then ensure their operation and good maintenance through public participation committees.
Commissioner Abinash Mishra has directed the Zone Commissioners and Executive Engineers to plant the saplings of the same species in a systematic manner between the road dividers of the roads of the zone area to enhance the beauty of the roads, so that the beauty of the roads can be enhanced, plantation can be ensured and the road can be streamlined.
The Commissioner has directed the City Investor and the City Investment Engineers of the zones to get the work of geo photo tagging done on priority with the help of Geo Hydrologist in relation to the rain water harvesting work done in the Municipal Corporation area. The Commissioner has directed the City Investment Engineers to take action to remove the carts which are being set up by occupying the road in front of RD Tiwari School GE Marg and run a continuous campaign. Along with this, instructions have been given to take action on various main roads including Fafadeep, Shankarnagar, Anand Nagar, Santoshi Nagar to remove illegal encroachments in the road limits and to take continuous campaign action at the zone level to make the traffic smooth and well-organized for public convenience in public interest.
The Commissioner has directed the Zone Commissioners to ensure that special attention is paid to cleanliness in all the toilets of the wards of the zone area under Swachh Bharat Mission. The Commissioner has directed that it should be ensured that all the toilets have the necessary arrangements including water, cleanliness, light, so that the citizens do not have to face any inconvenience while going to the public toilet.
The Commissioner has directed all the Zone Commissioners and Executive Engineers to ensure that the development works in progress are completed on priority basis in a quality manner within the time limit by continuously monitoring them at a fast pace. The Commissioner has instructed to list the development works to be inaugurated soon and propose necessary action for expansion of public facilities in public interest. The Commissioner has instructed the Executive Engineers, Assistant Engineers, Sub-Engineers to inspect the ongoing development works and ensure that all development works are completed within the time limit with quality.
