Manipur: Iraqi people protested against Army Chief’s remarks

Manipur: Keirak United Development and Keirak Apunba Mira Paibi staged a sit-in protest at Keirak Yawabung market shed on Monday over controversial remarks of Army Chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi in a recent interview in which he claimed that no drone bombing was carried out by the Kukis during the ongoing crisis in Manipur.

The protesters held various placards which read ‘We condemn the remarks of Army Chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi which misrepresents the Meitei in this crisis’, ‘Stop proxy war’, ‘End India’s policy of eliminating the Meitei’, ‘Withdraw Assam Rifles from Manipur’, ‘Stop Chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi’ and ‘Restore normalcy in Manipur’.
