550-page chargesheet filed in court against MLA Devendra Yadav

Raipur: Police has filed a 550-page chargesheet in the CJM court against Congress MLA Devendra Yadav in the Balodabazar violence case. Yadav has been charged under more than one and a half dozen serious sections. He has been in jail since August 17, and a total of 185 people have been arrested in this case so far, in which 13 FIRs have been registered.

Four days ago, the court had extended Yadav’s judicial remand for two more days as the police did not submit the challan in time. Devendra Yadav had alleged that the police were deliberately delaying the challan so that new charges could be fabricated against him. Meanwhile, Devendra Yadav’s lawyer has filed a petition in the High Court for bail, although earlier his bail plea was rejected on 10 and 17 September.
