DM’s official number hacked, commotion ensued

Prayagraj: DM’s official number was hacked in Prayagraj. A case has come to light of hacking the CUG number of Prayagraj District Magistrate from Mahant Shridharanand Brahmachari of Shrimankameshwar Mahadev Temple and asking for donations in the name of building a temple. On the complaint of the Mahant, a case has been registered against the unknown accused in Kidganj police station. Police have traced a mobile number, which belongs to a person from Gorakhpur district. Police and surveillance team are investigating the matter.

A call came from DM’s CUG number on October 2 at around 3:30 pm on the mobile number of Mahant Shridharanand Brahmachari of Shrimankameshwar Mahadev Temple. The caller said that he is the District Magistrate. After a while, the private secretary will call. After this, a call came from an unknown number at around four in the evening and asked for cooperation in the construction of a temple in the DM’s home district. The accused told his name as Praveen and then disconnected the call.

Mahant Shridharanand Brahmachari informed the district administration on suspicion. A case has been registered in Kidganj police station on the complaint of Acharya Ramchandra Shukla of Shri Mankameshwar temple. It has been complained that money has been demanded from him by calling from DM’s number. This amount was demanded as donation to build a temple. However, the DM office is saying that no such donation is being collected. In such a situation, cyber thugs have demanded money.

The police have registered a complaint in the case and started investigation on the basis of the complaint. The police say that the information of the number is being extracted. Also, efforts will be made to catch the accused in the case.
