Continuous action continues against illegal excavation and transportation of sand

On the instructions of Collector Vinay Kumar Langeh, continuous action is being taken against illegal excavation and transportation of sand. Mineral Officer Sanat Sahu said that during a surprise check by the Mineral Department and Police Investigation Post Sirpur on Thursday midnight, 02 Hiva vehicles were seized while illegally transporting sand from village Baldakachar (Balodabazar). The district level joint team constituted to inspect industrial factories inspected the Karni Kripa Power Plant today. The committee member Labor Officer Mr. D.L. Patra said that during the inspection in compliance with the order of the Collector and District Magistrate, prima facie no violation was found in the investigation of the Mineral Department and instructions have been given to submit documents for further investigation. The Transport Department inspected the over-loaded vehicles.

During the investigation by the Legal Metrology and Measurement Department, the weighing scale and small electronic weighing equipment were found to be non-standard and unsealed and the weights verified and stamped as per rules were not found in the premises for checking the weighing scale. Similarly, during the investigation by the Environment Department, fugitive emission was found from the CD building and the housekeeping system was not found satisfactory. The committee has sought an answer from the management regarding the shortcomings. It is known that as per the instructions of CG Government, Ministry, Housing and Environment Department, Mahanadi Bhawan, Collector and District Magistrate Vinay Langeh has formed a district level joint team for inspection of tarpaulin/suitable material in vehicles transporting minerals in large industries, dangerous industries, under construction projects and mines located in the district and for compliance and monitoring of rules.
