Erica Fernandes: Starting a new chapter away from the limelight

Mumbai: Erica Fernandes’ move away from the spotlight has been nothing short of a transformation. In a world where demand often means endless, Erica’s bold decision to settle in Dubai two years ago surprised many. But for the actress, it was a decision that radically changed her life.

Reflecting on her experience, Erica explains how staying away from the constant spotlight allowed her to rediscover herself. “Moving to Dubai has been an enriching and humbling experience. Starting a new life gave me the sense of normalcy I craved,” she says. “In Mumbai, I always tried to balance my public persona with my desire to just be myself. Here I lead a simple life, where I am recognised not only as an actress, but also as a businesswoman.”

Her business has flourished since then. Erica now runs a production house and event management company and is expanding her creativity into new areas. “It was interesting to explore these paths to becoming an entrepreneur,” he said. “I discovered exciting new ways to express myself creatively, and it was incredibly rewarding.”
