India-Made Hyundai Exter also available in South Africa

Business: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced the expansion of its export portfolio by exporting the Hyundai Exeter. The model will now be available to customers in South Africa, making it the eighth model to be exported from India to the country.

“South Africa has always been an important export market for HMIL as most of the models produced at HMIL’s Tamil Nadu plant are also exported to South Africa,” said Jay Van Rooy, Functional Head, Corporate Planning, Hyundai Motor India Limited.

It’s a great year for HMIL as it celebrates 20 years of exporting world-class products to South Africa. “Made in India, Made for the World” is a testament to HMIL’s manufacturing capability as it is evident that our products are not only loved by the Indian audience but I am confident that the Hyundai Exeter, given its massive success in India, will replicate the same history of its popularity. . HMIL has already started exports from Exeter with the first consignment of 996 units to South Africa. The Exeter will be the eighth Hyundai model introduced in the country after the Grand i10 Nios, Aura, i20, i20 N Line, Venue, Venue N Line and Alcazar. The Hyundai Exeter, manufactured exclusively by HMIL, crossed the 1 lakh sales mark in India within a year of its launch. In 2024, the Exeter has become an even more attractive package as it now offers Hi-CNG (Twin Cylinder CNG) and Night Edition variants, demonstrating strong performance in the dynamic Indian market.
