Police raid in godown, 5 trucks of illegal junk seized
On Tuesday, the ACCU team of the district raided the godown of Lalit Kabadi, the city’s biggest scrap dealer, located at Gokuldham. The team seized five trucks of illegal scrap from there. Along with this, the police also took action at Pandey Kabadi’s place, but both were released on bail after an hour.
This is not the first time that the Durg Police has raided Lalit or other scrap dealers of the city. In the year 2024, the police have raided Lalit Kabadi’s place for at least the 5th time within 9 months. Every time several trucks of illegal scrap are seized from there and brought to Jamul police station. The scrap dealer is released on bail in a few hours, but the police guard his scrap.
After a few days, the scrap dealer presents the bill of the seized scrap in the police station and he also gets it released on the orders of the court. On Tuesday afternoon also, the Crime Branch team raided Lalit Kabadi’s godown. A large amount of illegal and stolen scrap was seized from there.
The police loaded the junk from there in five trucks and pickup trucks and parked them in the police station. The police say that they have seized the junk on the suspicion of it being stolen. If he submits the bill and there is an order from the court, the police will release his junk.
