Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan

Mahasamund: As per the instructions of the government and under the guidance of Collector Vinay Kumar Langeh, camps are being organized by marking the settlements of special backward tribes under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana to provide benefits to the people of special backward tribal groups in the district. Assistant Commissioner Shilpa Sai said that till now camps have been organized in a total of 08 settlements. In which 68 registrations have been done for Aadhar registration, 27 for new bank account, 67 for Ayushman card, 114 for ration card registration and 53 for caste certificate. In these camps, all the beneficiaries deprived and eligible from the public welfare schemes of the government are being benefited. In the camp, government officers and employees are also giving detailed information to the people about the schemes run for the special backward tribal class.

A camp was organized in Sirpur village of Mahasamund development block of the district in which a camp was organized in village Hadaband in Bagbahara development block for the beneficiaries of dependent PVTG settlements Sirpur, Khamtarai, Maraud, Nandbaru, Sukulbai on 21st August in which a camp was organized for the beneficiaries of Hadaband, Mamabhacha and in village Bhithidih in Pithora development block. Similarly, a camp was organized in village Kharsa, Sonasilli and Mohndi, Jalki and Tusda on 22nd August. In these camps, registration was done especially for backward tribes to link them with schemes like Aadhar card, Ayushman card, ration card, bank account etc. Stalls of Tribal Development Department, Revenue Department, Health Department, District Panchayat, Food Department, Women and Child Development, Lead Bank, Electricity Department, Education Department, Panchayat Department were set up in these camps. Through all these camps, a total of 68 Aadhaar registrations of PVTG beneficiaries, 67 Ayushman card registrations, 27 Jan Dhan bank accounts, 53 caste certificate proceedings, 114 ration cards, in addition to this, Ujjwala gas registration, Mahtari Vandan registration and Kisan Samman Nidhi registration were also done.

It is worth mentioning that the basic objective of PM Janman Yojana is to improve the social and economic conditions of vulnerable tribal groups (PVTG), families and settlements by providing basic facilities and services to them. Under PM Janman Yojana, important activities like nutrition, skill development for livelihood promotion through drinking water, housing, road, Anganwadi are being implemented in coordination with various departments in the settlements of vulnerable tribal groups.

In the camps, necessary consultation and medicines are also being provided by checking BP, sugar, eye, blood in the health check-up of deprived people of special backward tribal class. Women employees and self-help groups are also helping in bringing people from special backward tribes to the camp and for regular monitoring of the camp, the team of district and block level nodal officers constituted is inspecting the camp and ensuring the presence of concerned departments.
