Tourism Minister Mr Tamradhwaj Sahu laid the foundation of a hostel building with 50 seat capacity in IHM
raipur. A total of 138 students are pusuing the degree and diploma courses at Nava Raipur-based Institute of Hotel Management. This institute is operated under the Department of Tourism, Government of Chhattisgarh. To further enhance the education facilities at the institute, B.Sc. HHA (Hospitality and Hotel Administration) course has been started and degree for this course will be obtained from the prestigious University of Delhi, JNU. There is no compulsion of age limit for taking admission in any of the degree and diploma courses in IHM.
As Chief Guest of the second annual function of the institute, Tourism Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu laid the foundation of a hostel building with 50 seat capacity to provide accomodation facility to the students of the institute. On the occasion, MLA Mr. Dhanendra Sahu, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Mr. Atal Srivastava, Vice President of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Mrs. Chitrarekha Sahu, Secretary of Tourism Department Mr. Ambalgan P., and Principal Mrs. Rekha Shukla were present. At the function, the annual magazine “Sukwa” of the institute was also released by Chief Guest Tourism Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu.
In his address, Tourism Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu wished a bright future to the students of the Institute of Hotel Management Raipur. He said that this institute will achieve a new milestone in the field of hospitality. He said that it is a matter of joy and pride that the students of the institute have been placed in prestigious hotels of the country. As per the vision of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, facilities at the institute are being improved and upgraded with the goal of making it the best hotel management institute of the country.
It is noteworthy that in the academic session 2022-23, the first batch of 06 students in the three-year B.Sc degree program are about to graduate. Four of these students have been selected in various prestigious hotels of the country. In the academic session 2021-22, 63 students studying in diploma courses have been placed in various prestigious hotels.
