Minister Ramvichar Netam gave instructions to the officials for the preparations of the mega event
Raipur. On the initiative of Tribal Welfare Minister Ramvichar Netam, a mega campaign will be run from 23 August to 10 September to provide benefits of schemes run by the state and central government in the special backward tribal Baiga, Pahadi Korwa, Kamar, Abujhmariya and Birhor dominated settlements in Chhattisgarh. Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan (PM Janman) is being run in 18 districts of the state. In these districts, the Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department will organize mega events and IEC campaigns in the coming month of September. In the first week of September, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will virtually participate in the program organized in the state and interact with the special backward tribal families. It is worth noting that on the occasion of Tribal Pride Day, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched PM Janman on 15 November 2023. Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Minister Ram Vichar Netam said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the national mega event being organized in Jharkhand under the PM Janman Yojana and will establish communication through two-way connectivity while addressing all the PVTG settlement districts of the country.
He informed that one district of special backward tribes in Chhattisgarh will be identified for the state level mega event. Minister Shri Netam informed that apart from the mega event, district level programs will be organized in all the remaining PM-Janman districts. In all these events, necessary arrangements for two-way connectivity are being made to see and hear the address and dialogue of the Prime Minister from the state of Jharkhand smoothly. Local MLAs and other public representatives will participate in these events. Special backward tribes will be benefited under various schemes of the Central and State Government in the program. Cultural programs will be organized during this period. Minister Shri Netam informed that beneficiary saturation camps are to be organized from 23 August 2024 to 10 September 2024. Through these camps, beneficiaries are to be benefited with Aadhar Card, Jan Dhan Account, Ayushman Card, Forest Rights Certificate, Ration Card, Caste Certificate, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, PM Matru Vandana Yojana, Kisan Credit Card, Sickle Cell Test and Basic Health Facilities etc. Its objective is to achieve 100% saturation of immediate activities in all PVTG settlements.
Beneficiary saturation camps will be run intensively in all PVTG settlements, districts. The main focus of this beneficiary saturation camp is to enrol and issue Aadhar card under UIDAI, open bank account under PM Jan Dhan, make Ayushman Bharat card of all eligible beneficiaries, issue community certificate to all PVTGs and issue Forest Rights Certificate and screening of sickle cell disease in PVTG settlements. Information will be given about activities approved under PM-Janman like Pradhan Mantri Awas (Rural), link road, mobile medical unit, tap water, electrification etc. Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan (PM-Janman) Yojana is being implemented for the speedy development of 05 particularly vulnerable tribal groups declared by the Government of India in the state namely Baiga, Pahari Korwa, Kamar, Abujhmariya and Birhor tribal groups and settlements. It is worth mentioning that the Central and State Governments are continuously making efforts together for the overall development of these classes. As a result of this, this Maha Abhiyan started by the Government of India for the upliftment of these classes is becoming popular in a short time.
