9 houses burnt to ashes in fire

Nine houses were gutted while two others were partially damaged in a massive fire that broke out in a market in West Kameng district early on Wednesday.

20 families have been financially affected by the incident.

According to the official report, the fire broke out at around 2:30 in the night. Two ITBP water tankers from Bomdila, one from Dirang and one from Dirang were deployed to extinguish the flames, which were brought under control by 6:30 am.

There is no information about any loss of life or property.
