85 lakh voters’ names may be removed from the electoral rolls in Tamil Nadu: R.S. Bharathi

Tamil Nadu: DMK Organizing Secretary R.S. Bharathi has stated that 85 lakh voters may be removed from the electoral rolls in Tamil Nadu.
Speaking to reporters in Chennai, he said,
“The number of polling stations in Tamil Nadu has been increased by 10%. The number of polling stations in Tamil Nadu has increased from 68,467 to 75,035. Why did the Election Commission increase the number of polling stations without consulting political parties? The Election Commission will take legal action based on the report.”
Due to the hard work of the DMK, most people have been included in the voter list. DMK members have assisted in the work of the Special Summary Revision (SSR) without any party bias.
In Tamil Nadu, the draft voter list will be published on December 19. He stated that approximately 85 lakh voters have been removed. The truth will be known only after the list is published. We will engage in the process of re-enrolling eligible voters.
The DMK had strongly opposed the impact of the SSR work in Parliament.
“During the Lok Sabha elections, Amit Shah visited Tamil Nadu 8 times. But the DMK’s winning rate increased from 39 to 40, it did not decrease. If Amit Shah comes to Tamil Nadu and R.N. Ravi is the Governor, the DMK will achieve even more victories,” he said.
