8-Year-Old Boy Drowns To Death In Odisha’s Bhadrak District

Bhadrak: In a tragic incident, an eight-year-old boy drowned to death in Odisha’s Bhadrak district. The incident has come to the fore from Boumagheri village under Krushnapur Panchayat of Basudevpur Block of the district.

According to sources, the deceased, identified as son of Ranjit Jana, Chandan, had visited his maternal uncle’s house for the last two days. Reportedly, today, he was playing in front of his maternal uncle’s house, when he is suspected to fall into the pond nearby.

As the deceased maternal family couldn’t find him for long time, they started for him throughout the village. While search, they found Chandan in unconscious state in the pond. They immediately rescued him and rushed to the Basudevpur hospital. However, he was declared by the doctor.

Earlier today, the blood soaked body of a youth found in Gajapati of Odisha. According to reports, the dead body was seen lying on the roadside of Batsiripur, under Gurandi police station of Gajapati district. The deceased youth has been identified as M. Lingaraj. He allegedly belongs to Batsiripur village.

Reportedly, the deceased went to attend a wedding ceremony and unfortunately his dead body was recovered this morning. Meanwhile, who killed him and why he was murdered is yet to known. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
