8-year-old boy dies in firecracker accident in Saharanpur

Saharanpur (UP): An eight-year-old boy died after being hit by a firecracker in Teetro area here on Diwali night, police said on Friday. Vansh, son of Ashok Lala, was lighting firecrackers outside his house in Teetro when suddenly a firecracker hit his neck, injuring him seriously, Superintendent of Police (rural) Sagar Jain said. “The family took Vansh to a local private doctor, who immediately recommended shifting him to a high-end medical facility. However, the child died while being taken to the hospital,” Jain said.
