8 trucks seized, action taken against transporting ash against rules

Bilaspur. In Bilaspur, the special team of the district administration has seized eight trucks being transported without green net and tarpaulin covering. Ash was being transported in trucks against the rules. By running a campaign last night, the team checked 62 trucks, out of which action has been taken against eight trucks.

Actually, Collector Avnish Sharan has formed a special team to investigate the trucks and transporters causing environmental pollution. He has instructed the team members to thoroughly inspect the dust material and ash from the factories as well as the vehicles transporting coal. Following his instructions, on Sunday night the team conducted an intensive campaign in the district and checked 62 trucks.

During this time, the team stopped trucks at midnight in Masturi, Pendridih bypass as well as Beltara area and checked them. During investigation, it was revealed that ash was being transported in the seized trucks without covering them with tarpaulin and green net. Therefore, the trucks have been seized and handed over to the concerned police stations. The matter has been handed over to the Mineral Department for action.
