8 Naxalites killed in Pedia forest, bodies recovered

Bijapur. There is news of 8 Naxalites killed in a police encounter. The bodies and weapons of the killed Naxalites have been recovered from the spot. According to reliable sources posted in the police department, the number of Naxalites killed may increase. About 1200 DIG, STF, Cobra and CRPF personnel have come out from Bijapur, Dantewada and Sukma on anti-Naxal operation.

The operation was launched on information about the presence of big Naxal leaders. The encounter has been going on for 11 hours in the Pedia forests of Gangalur police station area. Bastar IG, DIG and SP of three districts are keeping an eye on the encounter.
