60 police teams raided Raipur city, arrested 134 criminals.

Raipur. Police are continuously conducting raids against those involved in illegal activities. In this regard, under the direction of Raipur Range Inspector General of Police, Amresh Mishra, a “Nishchay Abhiyan” has been launched to apprehend anti-social elements and those involved in illegal activities in Raipur district. In compliance with these instructions, under the guidance of Deputy Inspector General of Police and Senior Superintendent of Police, Dr. Lal Umed Singh, 60 police teams, led by gazetted officers, simultaneously raided the suspected hideouts of drug dealers, those with permanent arrest warrants, and those disrupting public order.

The “Nishchay Abhiyan” was launched by police teams in Raipur district. As part of the “Nishchay Abhiyan,” various police teams conducted surprise raids at over 100 locations. Under the campaign, six accused were arrested for selling drugs, and approximately 3,800 kilograms of marijuana and 80 banned narcotic tablets were seized from them.

Twenty-nine accused selling liquor illegally were arrested, and 705 quarter bottles of liquor were confiscated from them. In the same sequence, one accused was arrested for illegally possessing a weapon, and one knife was seized from his possession, and action was taken under the Arms Act. As part of the special campaign, police teams raided the possible hideouts of absconding accused, served 21 permanent/arrest warrants, and arrested approximately seven absconding accused in various old cases. Additionally, action was taken against 70 accused for disrupting peace under restrictive sections. The police’s “Nishchay Abhiyan” will continue uninterrupted.
