Raipur. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, new dimensions are constantly being added to the health services of Chhattisgarh. Taking a big decision to further strengthen medical education, the state government has given administrative approval to the construction of 6 new physiotherapy colleges. The construction of physiotherapy colleges will not only provide new opportunities to the youth, but the quality of health services will also improve in the coming time. According to the order issued by the Medical Education Department of the state, the districts in which new physiotherapy colleges will be established include Manendragarh, Jashpur, Raigarh, Bilaspur, Durg and Jagdalpur. The government has approved a total amount of Rs 83 crore 62 lakh for the construction of these colleges. A budget of about Rs 13 crore 93 lakh 71 thousand (about 14 crores) has been fixed for each college. This investment will not only be spent on the construction of modern buildings and laboratories but will also be made on the equipment and infrastructure required for the students. This decision will open new avenues for the youth of the state. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that the health of the three crore people of Chhattisgarh and the future of our youth are both the top priorities of our government. The 6 new physiotherapy colleges approved today are not just institutions, but are the foundation of the new building of a healthy and self-reliant Chhattisgarh. The youth of the state will not only serve Chhattisgarh by becoming doctors and specialists from these colleges, but will also take the identity of the state to new heights in the entire country. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said that under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, health education in Chhattisgarh is touching new heights. With the establishment of 6 new physiotherapy colleges, the youth of the state will get opportunities for high-level health education and important services like physiotherapy will now be able to reach every village. This decision will strengthen the health infrastructure of the state as well as open the door to new employment and opportunities for the youth.
It is worth mentioning that physiotherapy is currently an important requirement in health services and these new colleges will produce trained specialists, who will provide better services to the society in the times to come. Experts believe that the expansion of physiotherapy colleges in Chhattisgarh will provide great relief to patients in remote and rural areas of the state. Now patients will not have to depend on big cities for physiotherapy treatment, but will be able to get services in their own district. This new series of physiotherapy colleges along with the already existing medical colleges and nursing colleges in the state will further increase the comprehensiveness of health education. With this, Chhattisgarh will not only prepare doctors and nurses but will also provide specialist physiotherapists in large numbers. This decision will also bring new employment opportunities. From the construction to the operation of these colleges, many people will get employment at the local level and the graduating students will fulfill the needs of the state by providing their services in health institutions.
