6 new machines installed in Mekahara, inaugurated by Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal

Raipur. ICICI Foundation has donated six state-of-the-art equipment for the treatment of diseases related to heart, lungs and circulatory system to the Heart, Chest and Vascular Surgery Department of ACI located at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital, affiliated to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College. Provided under Social Responsibility (Corporate Social Responsibility). On Tuesday, Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal formally inaugurated these state-of-the-art equipment installed in the Heart, Chest and Vascular Surgery Department. On the occasion of this inauguration program, Raipur North MLA Mr. Purandar Mishra, MLA Raipur Rural Mr. Motilal Sahu, Commissioner Medical Education Mr. Janak Prasad Pathak, Director Medical Education Dr. Vishnu Dutt, Dean Medical College Dr. Trupti Nagaria, Superintendent Dr. S. B. S. Netam, Head of Pathology Department Dr. Arvind Neral, Head of Cardiology Department Dr. Smit Srivastava, Head of CTVS Department Dr. Krishnakant Sahu and Zonal Head of ICICI Foundation Vivekananda Dubey were present.

While inaugurating all these equipments, Health Minister Shri Jaiswal said that through these equipments provided by ICICI Foundation to the cardiac surgery department of the state’s largest government hospital, better treatment can be provided to the patients suffering from diseases of the heart, lungs and vascular system. Will be able to get. Through these machines, the facility of open heart surgery and bypass surgery will become even easier. Referring to an incident from Ramayana, he said that in the field of health care, the contribution of every employee from doctors to nursing staff, paramedical staff and management is as important as the contribution of a small squirrel to Lord Shri Ram in the construction of Ram Setu. Everyone associated with it had a contribution.

Giving information regarding the equipment, Dr. Krishnakant Sahu, Head of the Department of Heart, Chest and Vascular Surgery, said that the state-of-the-art audio/visual alarm for the Heart Surgery ICU has been configured for ECG, RESP, SPOT, NIBP, IBP, and CCO. Six monitors from Philips company along with a central station have been provided for adult/pediatric arrhythmia analysis. Along with this, Automatic Coagulation Timer (ACT), Echocardiograph, Ecmo Machine, Volumetric Pump and LED spot light for minor surgical procedures have been installed in the department. All these machines are very advanced in themselves. The Cardiac Surgery Department was started in the year 2017, after which 1250 operations of heart, chest, lungs and blood veins have been done till now.
