6 children going to school in e-rickshaw injured, accident due to overtake

Janjgir-Champa. An e-rickshaw driver hit a Mazda vehicle in front of the State Bank of India on Vivekananda Marg in the district. In the accident, 6 children of Swami Atmanand School traveling in the e-rickshaw were injured, who have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. The matter is of City Kotwali area.

MLA Vyas Kashyap reached the district hospital to meet the injured children on Wednesday evening. He took information about the health of all the children from the doctor and gave instructions for better treatment. Police have seized the Mazda vehicle. According to the information, after the closing of Swami Atmanand School on Wednesday, 10 children were going to their home in an e-rickshaw. The e-rickshaw reached SBI, during which a Mazda vehicle was coming from behind. He overtook the e-rickshaw and went ahead, but seeing other vehicles parked on the road, the driver slowed down his speed.

Meanwhile, the driver of the e-rickshaw coming from behind increased the speed of the vehicle and tried to overtake the Mazda vehicle and collided with the branch behind. Six children traveling in the e-rickshaw were injured in the accident. A crowd of people gathered at the spot. The injured children were immediately admitted to the district hospital. Civil Surgeon Dr. Anil Jagat said that 3 children have suffered serious injuries, while 3 children are slightly injured.
