5 workers fall into Brahmani river in Dhenkanal during repair work, 1 dead

Kamakhyanagar: In a tragic incident, at least five workers fell into the river late last night while the bridge repair work was underway. Fortunately, four of them were safely rescued but and the body of one of them was found today. The incident happened in Sarangadhar Bridge over Brahmani River in the Kamagara village in Kamakhyanagar of Dhenkanal district.

According to information, five construction workers fell into Brahmani river. The Fire brigade started an operation to rescue them. After hours four of them were rescued but one was missing. The body of the fifth construction worker was rescued today.

The deceased has been identified as Dilip Kumar. He is a resident of Mahmada village under Chautani police station in Motihari district of Bihar. After an extensive search and rescue efforts, the body of a worker identified as Dilip Kumar was recovered from the river.

The exact cause of how the workers fell into the river is yet to be ascertained. Police have started an investigation. The district administration has assured that the probe will be thorough and that necessary actions will be taken based on the findings.
