5 people were killed on suspicion of witchcraft, Congress formed a 6 member committee, their names included

Raipur: A Congress committee will also investigate the murder of the entire family of a head constable on suspicion of witchcraft in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district and the arson in the former sarpanch’s house on suspicion of murder of a youth in Kawardha. The committee has been formed for both the cases on the instructions of PCC chief Deepak Baij.

The Congress party has also raised questions on the state government and law and order regarding both these incidents.

A 6-member investigation committee has been formed regarding the incident in Sukma district. Bastar MLA Lakheshwar Baghel is the convener in this, while MLA Kawasi Lakhma, Vikram Mandavi, former MLA Rekhchand Jain, PCC secretary Durgesh Rai and Sukma district president Maheshwari Baghel are members.

A 6-member investigation committee has also been formed in the Kawardha case, this committee will be led by Dongargarh MLA Daleshwar Sahu, he will be the convener. MLA Bholaram Sahu, Indra Shah Mandavi, Yashoda Verma, Sandeep Sahu and Kawardha district president Hori Ram Sahu will be members.

Both the investigation teams have been instructed to go to the spot and investigate the entire matter. They have been asked to talk to the people around and also take information from the relatives who have come there and submit a report.

Both these investigation committees formed by the PCC chief have also been instructed to complete the investigation within a week. After investigating every aspect, a report should be prepared and sent to the PCC.

In Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district, the entire family of a head constable was wiped out on suspicion of witchcraft. The children said that they had hidden out of fear. The villagers killed their parents, grandparents and aunt in front of their eyes. 5 members of the family were beaten to death with sticks. The incident is of Itkal village near Muraliguda camp in Konta.

There has been a lot of uproar in Kawardha district over land dispute. On Sunday, the villagers held 4 people hostage and set the house on fire. After this, the body of one person was found from the house. 3 people were rescued. According to the information, the body of a young man was found hanging from a tree in Loharidih village of the district in the morning. The young man was a resident of the same village. After this, the villagers held 4 members of a family hostage on suspicion of murder and then set their house on fire.
