5 miscreants expelled from district, action taken against one more today

Keeping in mind the upcoming festival in Dhamtari district, continuous action is being taken against goons and miscreants to maintain peace in the city. In this connection, Collector and District Magistrate Dhamtari Ms. Namrata Gandhi, on the recommendation of Superintendent of Police Dhamtari Mr. Anjaneya Varshney, has banished another habitual criminal of the district from the district. Using the powers conferred under Section 5 (a) (b) of the Chhattisgarh State Security Act 1990, an order has been passed to remove another miscreant of the district Praveen Kumar Sonwani father Santosh Kumar Sonwani age 23 years resident Sindhi Dharamshala near Aamapara Dhamtari (external to the district) from the revenue boundaries of District Dhamtari and adjacent districts Raipur, Balod, Kanker, Gariaband, Durg, Kondagaon for the next 01 year.

District Magistrate Ms. Namrata Gandhi has ordered the said miscreant Praveen Kumar Sonwani to leave the revenue boundaries of the above districts and not to enter without the permission of the competent court before a period of one year. In case of non-compliance of the said order, instructions have been given to take legal action/forcefully expel him out of the boundaries of the above district. If even after this he violates this order, action will be taken against him under the relevant provisions of the (CG) State Security Act 1990. Till now in the year 2025, a case for banishment from the district has been presented against 15 goons before the District Magistrate, out of which action for banishment from the district has been taken against a total of 15 criminals.
