5 Congress workers sent to jail, assaulted in polling booth

Rajnandgaon. Major action has been taken in the case of fighting in the polling booth on the day of voting in Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha seat of Chhattisgarh. SDM has sent 5 Congress workers to jail in this case under Section 151.

Actually, voting was held on three seats including Rajnandgaon on April 26 in Chhattisgarh. On the day of voting, there was a clash between Congress and BJP workers at Tedesara polling booth. BJP workers had accused Congress workers of assault. A woman showed the injury on her hand in front of the camera. After this the police took charge and pacified the matter.

Let us tell you that 76.24 percent voting took place in the second phase of voting in three Lok Sabha constituencies of Chhattisgarh on Friday. 77.42 percent voting was recorded in Rajnandgaon constituency, 75.02 percent in Mahasamund and 76.23 percent in Kanker. 15 candidates were trying their luck in Rajnandgaon, 17 in Mahasamund and nine in Kanker.
