The five principles outlined by the Chief Minister include zero tolerance towards corruption, sensitivity to public problems, working without any discrimination, providing timely services, and maintaining a courteous and professional attitude in one’s behavior. He said that government employment is not just a means of livelihood, but an important opportunity to serve society.

A total of seven departments were involved in this recruitment drive. Of these, the School and Mass Education Department made the highest number of appointments at 4,113. Congratulating the newly appointed employees, the Chief Minister said that government employees are the backbone of the administration and play a vital role in implementing government schemes at the grassroots level. He added that it is the responsibility of these employees to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the last person in society.

Majhi also informed that since June 2024, the state government has provided 44,082 government jobs. Additionally, the government has assisted in providing employment to approximately 92,000 people in the private sector, thereby increasing employment opportunities in the state.

Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Jual Oram attended the event as Guest of Honor. He stated that under the Chief Minister’s leadership, employment opportunities for youth in Odisha are steadily increasing, which is a positive sign for the state’s development.

Several state ministers were also present at the event, including Gokulananda Mallick, Ganesh Ram Singh Khuntia, Nityananda Gond, Ravi Narayan Naik, and Sampad Chandra Swain. All hailed the recruitment process as a significant step for the state.

Overall, the event served not only as an opportunity for employment distribution but also as a showcase for the government’s administrative priorities and the message of transparent governance.
