45 Haj pilgrims were flagged off by DC Doda Harvinder Singh and sent to Srinagar
Doda: Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh flagged off a batch of 45 Haj pilgrims from Doda district and left for Srinagar. SSP Doda Javed Iqbal and ACR Doda Sunil Butiyal were also present in the programme. This event marked the beginning of his journey to perform the holy pilgrimage to Mecca. The group of pilgrims included 23 from Doda, 4 from Bhaderwah, 7 from Thathri and 11 from Gandoh. The list includes 31 men and 14 women. District Administration Doda ensured all necessary arrangements and facilities for safe and comfortable travel of the pilgrims to Haj House Srinagar and today an international flight will take off from International Airport Srinagar to Saudi Arabia. DC Singh told ANI, “The first batch of 45 pilgrims from Doda is leaving for Srinagar today. Another batch of 18 pilgrims will leave via Delhi. They have been health checked and given mandatory vaccination.” Nasir Qayyum Zargar, a Haj pilgrim from Doda, told ANI, “We wait with patience to complete Haj. May God accept it.
