43,781 Candidates Given Railway Jobs in FY 2025-26: Ashwini Vaishnaw

New Delhi: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Friday reviewed the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) recruitment process and emphasized greater transparency, accuracy and faster completion of exams, ANI reported on X.
Vaishnaw said all departmental examinations are now conducted through Computer-Based Tests (CBT) and the Railways will expand tablet-based testing to further streamline the process.
Under a structured and technology-driven recruitment drive, 43,781 candidates were given Railway employment in FY 2025-26. In the last fiscal, Railways recruited 18,799 Assistant Loco Pilots, 14,298 Technicians and 1,376 Paramedical Staff.
The Minister added that vacancy notifications issued under the annual recruitment calendar have been well received by candidates. The move aims to make hiring more efficient while ensuring fairness and speed in filling critical posts across Indian Railways.
