421 petrol bunks shut in AP as “No Stock” boards trigger state-wide panic

Amaravati: Fuel shortage in AP is getting worse day by day. Motorists are lining up in large numbers at petrol pumps as no stock boards are seen at some pumps. Vehicles are lining up at pumps in Vijayawada, Markapuram, Palnadu and Guntur districts.
For the past few days, fuel shortages in many parts of the state have caused inconvenience to motorists. Chief Minister Chandrababu Nadendla Manohar and others have convened a review meeting and alerted the officials. The Chief Minister has instructed the concerned officials to submit a report on the fuel shortage by the evening.

Minister Nadendla Manohar has clarified that there is no shortage of diesel and petrol in AP. He revealed that the banks are closing due to minor supply issues, there is no shortage of fuel and there is no need to worry. He participated in a video conference with oil companies, dealers and officials to provide information to the media from time to time.
Representatives of the dealers’ association advised oil companies to work efficiently during the panic. They advised not to create shortages and inconvenience consumers. They ordered oil companies to go to depots and inspect JCs to ensure that there are no problems in supply anywhere.
