After completing this long and challenging journey in 67 days, he completed his campaign by reaching the Vivekananda Kendra campus in Kanyakumari on Tuesday.

Karthik Joshi started his special race from Kargil on 2 May 2026. His aim was not only to cover long distances but also to inspire youth across the country towards sports, fitness and a healthy lifestyle. During his visit, he visited different states and met local players, students and sports lovers and gave them the message of making sports a part of life.

Reached Kanyakumari after passing through seven states

During his long journey, Karthik Joshi crossed many states of the country. Starting from Jammu and Kashmir, he traveled through Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka till Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu. During this time he interacted with people in different cities, towns and rural areas and tried to spread awareness on the importance of sports.

Running long distances every day for 67 consecutive days is not easy for any athlete. Despite many challenges like changing weather conditions, different geographical areas, long distance and physical fatigue, Karthik continued his expedition and eventually successfully reached the target.

The aim was also to discover sports talents.

Talking to journalists after reaching Kanyakumari, Karthik Joshi said that an important objective of this trip was to identify the sports talents hidden in different parts of the country.

He said, “During this journey that started from Kargil, I have identified more than 100 talented athletes across the country. I found many young athletes who have extraordinary potential, but they are not getting proper opportunities and resources.”

Karthik says that there is no dearth of talent in India, all that is needed is right guidance, training and encouragement. If players from rural and small towns get better facilities then they can bring glory to the country at national and international level.

Running awareness campaign for nine years

Karthik Joshi said that his campaign to spread awareness about fitness and sports is not new. For the last nine years, he has been motivating people to adopt a healthy lifestyle and exercise regularly through various campaigns across the country.

He told that till now he has completed the race of more than 80,000 kilometers. This distance is considered to be almost double the circumference of the Earth, which shows his continuous hard work, discipline and dedication towards sports.

Also took part in international marathon

Kartik Joshi has also represented India at the international level during his sporting journey. He told that he has also participated in the famous Comrades Marathon of South Africa. Participating in this prestigious ultra marathon is considered a big achievement for any runner.

He says that participating in international competitions gave him better experience and he wants to pass on the same experience to the youth of India. He believes that sports is not just a medium to win medals but is the most effective means to develop self-confidence, discipline and positive thinking.

Fitness message given to youth

Karthik appealed to the youth that instead of spending excessive time on mobile and digital devices, they should take out some time every day for sports and physical activities. He said that regular running, exercise and sports not only keep the body healthy but also reduce mental stress and play an important role in personality development.

He also said that if interest in sports increases among the youth, the country will get more national and international players in the future. Besides, sports will also play an important role in building a healthy society.
